Garlic Swiss Grill Burger

These savory burgers combine mushrooms, garlic and more in perfect harmony.

Ingredients

2 T butter
8 oz sliced fresh mushrooms
3 T soy sauce
3 large garlic cloves, sliced or finely chopped
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
6 slices Swiss cheese
1 medium onion, sliced
12 pieces of toast

Directions

Heat grill to medium heat.

In 12-inch nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat.

Add mushrooms, soy sauce and garlic; cook until mushrooms are tender and liquid evaporates.

Set aside and keep mixture warm.

Shape beef into 6, 1/2-inch-thick patties.

Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Grill patties for 8 to 10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160° F.

Place cheese slices on burger, cook until cheese is melted.

Place burgers on toast.

Divide cooked mushrooms evenly over burgers and top with onions.
